Originally filmed on 16mm, African/Haitian Dance with Ruth Beckford is available for viewing in our Archive Collection at Medgar Evers College, hosted and produced by Anthony Bratten.

Ruth Beckford, a former member of the Katherine Dunham Dance Company, teaches an intermediate to advanced class in African-Haitian dance using the Katherine Dunham technique. Includes barré, isolation, across the floor, dance pattern, and Yanvalou exercises. Originally filmed as a KQED-TV program.
